Prayer

Prayer undergirds everything we do. It provides the foundation upon which ministry moves forward and the Kingdom of God advances.

Prayer is our first priority because it is the key to our vital life in Jesus Christ and cooperating with the Holy Spirit. Over the years, the Holy Spirit has led PRMI into a variety of different program expressions to encourage the work of prayer, including:

  • Dunamis Project #3 : The Power of Prayer
  • Prayer : The Walk of Encounter
  • Prayer Forums
  • On-site and off-site intercessors for all our events
  • Advanced Intercession Course
  • High-Level Intercessory Prayer and Spiritual Warfare Course

Prayer : The Walk of Encounter

The Walk is a simple but powerful form of engagement with God that combines verses of scripture with movement in a way similar to the Stations of the Cross. The Walk was first developed by the Rev. Alan Leach. Additional Walks have been developed by a number of people. These Walks of Prayer may be used anywhere

Some sample Walks may be downloaded from the Resources section of this site, here.

Prayer Forum

The Prayer Forum coordinates the work of prayer and intercession, providing cover for the various aspects of the work of the Fellowship.

The main purpose is to give cover for the Dunamis Project events, Ignite and Dunamunch events along with Leadership and Fellowship Meetings as they take place. From time to time we include personal issues so long as they are discerned to be things which relate to the work of the Fellowship.

New members are welcome, and we never insist that members take up every request: it is up to them to discern which and to what extent they get involved. We invite feedback from the group and/or the person requesting the prayer so that a two way relationship develops for mutual encouragement.

It's always good to see God at work through the power of the Holy Spirit. We thank Him that His Son, Jesus Christ, is alive today and able to work through us, despite our own inadequacies and misgivings. Only if we humbly walk with Him will He be able to work through us. We are His servants, ready to do His will.
